Bellamy’s Organic — Live Commerce Broadcast, Tasmania

Live Streaming · Brand Production · Tasmania, Australia · 2025

The Challenge

Bellamy’s Organic needed to pull off a high-stakes live streaming commercial broadcast direct from the paddock to a Chinese audience of millions. Real cows. Real terrain. Real product — deep in the organic farmlands of Tasmania, Australia. No cell tower. No studio. No roads. No power outlets. Just open grass paddocks and a production team that needed to move a Starlink dish, camera packages and full live streaming rigs across uneven ground as the shot changed.

The ZILR Solution

The ZIPR 4WD became the backbone of the entire mobile production. The Starlink satellite dish, camera gear and live streaming rigs were loaded onto the ZIPR and driven across open paddocks between setups — no paths, no tarmac, no fuel required. The all-terrain solid rubber tyres and 4WD motor system handled the grass and uneven ground without hesitation. When the shot moved, the ZIPR moved. When the setup changed, the ZIPR changed with it.

ZIPR 4WD Starlink Dish Live Streaming Rig All-Terrain Paddock Zero Fuel

The Outcome

The live broadcast reached a Chinese audience of millions — delivered from a remote Tasmanian paddock with no fixed infrastructure. Multi-scene, multi-location, zero fuel. The ZIPR handled every equipment move across the day and, when the shoot wrapped, the crew rode it back. This is the production case that proves ZIPR is not just for studios and stages — it is for anywhere a production needs to go.

Łukasz Jóźwiński — ZIPR 4WD Deep-Dive Review

Technical Review · Video & Photo Production · Woocash Tech · 2026

The Challenge

Polish videographer and tech reviewer Łukasz Jóźwiński purchased the ZIPR 4WD for his own video and photo production work — and immediately set about stress-testing it beyond spec. His goal: find out what the cart actually does under real load and terrain pressure, not just what the datasheet says. He tested outdoors in forest terrain, on inclines, and with progressively heavier loads.

The ZILR Solution

Jóźwiński put the ZIPR 4WD through a structured test programme: unfolding and setup (comparing it against a standard beach trolley), progressive load capacity tests up to 180kg total, outdoor forest terrain trials, build quality inspection, and a 14-degree hill climb under full load. The quad hub motor system, hill-start assist and gradient compensation were all assessed under real conditions — not controlled flat-surface demos.

ZIPR 4WD 14° Hill Climb 180kg Load Test Forest Terrain Build Quality Inspection

The Outcome

The ZIPR 4WD handled a 14-degree incline carrying 180kg total without issue. Build quality held up across outdoor and forest environments. Jóźwiński has since confirmed further torture tests in progress — a follow-up video covering extended stress scenarios. His full 33-minute review covers setup, specs, load capacity, terrain tests and a detailed pros/cons breakdown.

Andrew Lock — ZIPR 4WD On-Set Field Test

Live Production · Studio & Location · 2025

The Challenge

As a Chief Lighting Technician running large productions, Andrew Lock knew the drill: multiple crew members, multiple runs, physical strain adding up across long shoot days. Moving heavy lighting rigs, grip equipment and cable packages between locations is one of the biggest time and energy drains on any working set. He needed something that could genuinely handle serious loads under real production pressure.

The ZILR Solution

Lock put the ZIPR 4WD straight into action on set with no warm-up period. The 3000W quad-hub motor system, 4WD/FWD/RWD selectable drive modes, and 300kg rated payload were pushed immediately into real-world load conditions. The cart’s hill-start assist and regenerative braking handled varied terrain without issue, and the fold-down design meant it stored directly in the van between jobs.

ZIPR 4WD 3000W Quad Motor 4WD / FWD / RWD Regen Braking

The Outcome

The cart towed over 800kg on set without hesitation — nearly three times its rated static payload — and didn’t blink. Lock’s verdict was immediate: a permanent fixture in the van. The ZIPR has since been reviewed independently by Newsshooter’s Matthew Allard ACS and featured in a dedicated video review by the Woocash Tech channel, both confirming the same on-set performance story.

Newsshooter — ZIPR E-Powered K.I.T. Cart Review

Field Review · On-Set Production Mobility · February 2026

The Challenge

With over 35 years of professional cinematography across more than 50 countries, Matthew Allard ACS has seen every solution crews use to move equipment — and most of them fall short. For his Newsshooter review, he put the ZIPR through a rigorous real-world test, assessing whether it could genuinely reduce the physical burden of equipment movement without adding complexity to an already demanding workflow.

The ZILR Solution

Allard tested both the ZIPR 2WD and 4WD across varied environments — including location work in Japan where compact dimensions and lift compatibility proved a distinct advantage over larger carts. He assessed setup time, noise output, towing feel, build quality and real-world usability. The quiet motor was an immediate standout: no audio interference, no distracting noise during takes.

ZIPR 2WD ZIPR 4WD Tow Mode Quiet Operation

The Outcome

Setup dropped from 10 minutes first time to 3 minutes on subsequent uses; pack-down takes around 2 minutes. Allard noted surprise at the build quality and praised the tow mode — the electric assist removes the sensation of load entirely. His published review on Newsshooter confirmed the ZIPR as a recommended piece of kit for any crew moving equipment across production environments.

Video Review · Commercial · Indie Film · Music Video · 2025

The Challenge

Fast-paced commercial, indie film and music video productions share a common problem: crew and equipment need to move quickly between setups, often across varied locations and tight spaces. DP Shaki Prasanna and Director Ilya Malov wanted to know if the ZIPR could genuinely keep pace with their shoots — and improve the experience for the crew doing the heavy lifting between takes.

The ZILR Solution

Prasanna and Malov tested the ZIPR across a range of real production environments — commercial shoots, indie films and music videos — assessing how the Push, Pull and Ride modes integrated into active crew workflows. They also explored the ZIPR’s potential as a camera support tool: the optional second seat enables smooth tracking and repositioning shots without laying track.

The Outcome

The ZIPR reduced crew fatigue by cutting repeat equipment trips across all tested production types. The dual DP–Director perspective gave the review particular depth: Prasanna assessed the logistics and crew workflow impact, while Malov evaluated the creative use cases — including dolly-style tracking shots using the ZIPR as a camera platform. Martin Smith — ZIPR in the Studio

Studio Production · Equipment Logistics · 2025

The Challenge

Studio productions have their own equipment movement demands — camera packages, lighting rigs and grip gear covering short but frequent distances between bays, storage and active sets. Manual handling across long shoot days creates fatigue, slows turnarounds, and ties up crew members who could be doing more skilled work. Smith needed a solution built for studio-floor reality: compact enough to navigate tight spaces, strong enough to carry serious loads.

The ZILR Solution

The ZIPR 4WD went straight into service in the studio environment. The folding steering column and 63cm width let it navigate doorways and tight corridors without issue. The 3000W motor system handled heavy loads across studio floors, while the push/pull/ride tri-mode flexibility meant crew could switch between powered and manual control depending on the space. LiFePO₄ battery with 3-hour charge time kept it in continuous operation across full shoot days.

ZIPR 4WD Studio Floor Use Push / Pull / Ride LiFePO₄ Battery

The Outcome

The ZIPR proved equally at home in the studio as it is on location. Heavy loads moved without crew strain, pack-down was fast enough to fit between setups, and the cart’s compact folded dimensions meant it stored easily without taking up production space. The result: less fatigue, faster turnarounds, and a piece of equipment the crew didn’t know they needed until it was there every day.

Brett Mills — Snow Mountain Location Shoot, New Zealand

Extreme Location · Mountain Terrain · New Zealand · 2025

The Challenge

A mountain location shoot in New Zealand presents obstacles that no studio-designed trolley is built for: uneven snow-covered ground, steep gradients, sub-zero temperatures, and the reality that there’s no loading dock, no level floor, and no crew to spare for manual hauling. New Zealand DP Brett Mills needed a cart that could handle the terrain as confidently as any on-set environment.

The ZILR Solution

Mills deployed the ZIPR 4WD — the off-road variant with 3000W quad hub motors, selectable 4WD/FWD/RWD drive modes, and all-terrain solid rubber puncture-proof tyres rated to 100mm width. The IPX5 weather resistance handled the conditions, while the hill-start assist, gradient compensation, and anti-rollback system kept the loaded cart stable and controlled on the slopes. The 6-brake system — four-wheel regenerative plus rear dual mechanical drum — gave confident stopping power on the descent.

ZIPR 4WD IPX5 Weather Rating All-Terrain Tyres Hill-Start Assist Gradient Compensation

The Outcome

The ZIPR 4WD moved camera packages, lighting and grip gear across snow-covered mountain terrain without the manual strain that would normally slow a small crew in a challenging environment. The electric assist handled the uphill load; regen braking controlled the descent. For extreme location work in New Zealand’s rugged landscape, the ZIPR 4WD proved that production mobility doesn’t stop where the road does.

Newsshooter — SDI Cable Kit Review

Field Review · Multi-Format Production · 2025

The Challenge

Broadcast DPs have long faced a persistent problem with SDI cables: cheap connectors that don’t lock properly, thin construction that snaps under production pressure, and kits that don’t cover every connector combination needed on a real shoot. Matthew Allard ACS — a DOP with over 35 years of professional experience — set out to find a cable kit that could handle the demands of real field production.

The ZILR Solution

Allard tested the ZILR 12G-SDI BNC & Mini-BNC Cable Kit across multiple productions, running 4K 60p signals from cameras including Blackmagic Design bodies to Convergent Design Odyssey monitors and recorders. The kit’s combination of standard BNC and mini-BNC connectors, large protective casing and competitive pricing made it his cable kit of choice.

12G-SDI BNC Mini-BNC Multiple lengths Coupler kit included

The Outcome

The cables handled 4K 60p signals without issue across all tested configurations. The large protective casing prevented connector damage during production use. Allard’s conclusion: a highly recommended kit that represents strong value without compromising on professional build quality.

Newsshooter — NPF USB-C PD Power Kit Review

Field Review · Location & Studio Production · 2021

The Challenge

Working DPs on location face a recurring problem: multiple cameras, monitors, smartphones, tablets, lights and external recorders all requiring separate chargers and different battery types. The weight and complexity of carrying multiple power solutions adds significant bulk to a travel kit and creates logistical headaches on location shoots without easy access to mains power.

The ZILR Solution

Matthew Allard ACS tested the ZILR NP-F970 USB Type-C PD Power Kit — a 10,050mAh NPF battery with integrated USB-C PD output, paired with a ZILR 65W GaN three-port wall charger. The kit allowed him to run cameras, charge smartphones, tablets and recorders simultaneously from a single battery type — something no other NPF battery on the market was offering at the time.

NP-F970 USB-C PD Battery 65W GaN Wall Charger USB-C to USB-C Cable 10,050mAh capacity

The Outcome

The kit performed as advertised — charging and powering multiple devices simultaneously from one battery. The compact GaN charger and single battery ecosystem eliminated the need to carry multiple proprietary chargers. Allard’s verdict: well-priced, unique in the market, and delivering something no competitor was offering.
